If Skin & Hide were playing in Dublin, I’d pay to see them over Aslan, never mind in Lanzarote. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of seeing the guys (Skin & Hide) play would say the same. Aslan were good in Charlies in March, but mainly because it was good to see them in a small venue like the old days; it was Skin & Hide who rocked the night afterwards. Keep us posted on dates for Skin & Hide in Ireland and until then I’ll have to plan another holiday to Lanz to see you soon.

i used to gig in dublin for years and im no great shapes at all now but i tried anyway!!
but i mainly gave up because of the attitude that some bands have to the word “respect”, i was over in charlies in december and i was amazed at the standard of the music there, i genuinly taught the band were fantastic and would be a big hit here in dublin, christy is a very good artist to be fair but but if im to be honest if aslan were playing next door to charlies i know what band i would be clapping on (it would begin with s and finish with h!!)the taught of christy himself playing in charlies with the charlies band only would be great but what are the odds of that!!!

Have to agree guys…I’d be much more upset to arrive in Charlies & find that Skin & Hide weren’t playing..can’t wait to get back there, roll on the 21st June

I have seen Aslan playing and had the pleasure of watching Skin and Hide playing as well. While Christy Dingham is a fantastic song writer and performer, Aslan wouldn’t even come close to Skin and Hide as a band in my opinion, despite their fame. Looking forward to our next trip out to charlies. Dave
